McTaggart Construction have taken on three new trade apprentices. The boys, aged 17-20 years old, will join the North Ayrshire company’s training and development programme which seeks to grow young talent and facilitate long-term career development opportunities to support the growth of the business.
North Ayrshire residents, Ben Walker from Irvine and Bradley McMartin from Kilwinning, both 17 years old, have started following work placements within McTaggart Construction’s Customer Care division. Alex Nicol, Customer Care Manager commented “We were impressed by both Ben and Bradley’s positive attitude and work ethic during their placements. Developing and investing in the young workforce has always been important to McTaggart’s as we can instil our values and exacting standards within our staff from the start.”
Liam McPherson (20) is an ‘adopted apprentice’ who has been taken on 3 years into his apprenticeship after being made redundant by his previous employer. Liam will complete the final year of his painting and decorating apprenticeship at McTaggart Construction.
In 2017 McTaggart Construction, whose Head Office is in Dalry, will deliver over 500 new sustainable homes across the central belt of Scotland.
