TV presenter Carol Smillie attended the official launch of the Scottish Veterans Residences newest development at Bellrock Crescent in Cranhill, Glasgow.
The £6m project will provide 51 flats which have specialised support for veterans who are struggling with the transition to civilian life such as medical, training and employment facilities.
The development will include 21 one and two bedroom flats for mainstream accommodation and 30 one bedroom flats with 24-hour supported accommodation and ancillary office space.
Scottish Veterans Residences was founded as a charity in 1910 and provides unique and unrivalled residential accommodation for ex-service men and women of all ages. Each year they help some 300 ex-service men and women and their spouses.
