McTaggart Construction, based in Ayrshire, proudly honoured the exceptional dedication and commitment of six long-serving employees, celebrating their 25-year service anniversaries during 2025.
All six individuals have played a pivotal role in contributing to the valued reputation of this award-winning specialist affordable home builder.
Managing director of the family-owned firm, Janice Russell highlighted the significance of these employees to the company, expressing, “We are privileged to commemorate their remarkable achievements and extend our gratitude to each of them for their substantial contributions to our growing status as one of Scotland’s specialist home builders.”

Mandy McKerrell, our dedicated cleaner, is an essential part of the team and significantly contributes to maintaining a pristine and welcoming environment that is truly appreciated by all.
Driver John Kelland, affectionately known as ‘half load’, has always been willing to go the extra mile to keep McTaggart moving. He is known for his safe and efficient deliveries, often in challenging conditions, that have ensured our projects run smoothly. He’s a fantastic ambassador, both on and off the road, for the company.
William Keirs, a skilled and dedicated operative has made a significant impact on the numerous projects he has worked on over the years through his hard work and practical competence. This week marks William’s retirement as he bids farewell to the working world to embark on a well-deserved retirement.
Andrew Kennedy’s journey from a site joiner to the role of Customer Care Supervisor is a testament to his exceptional craftsmanship and commitment to ensuring client satisfaction.
Kevin McCormick has been a valuable member of our team, starting as a joiner and advancing to the position of assistant site manager. During his tenure, Kevin has contributed to prestigious projects such as that at Laurieston, which was recognised as the RIAS building of the year. Reflecting on his journey, Kevin expressed his pride and gratitude for the opportunity to have worked with McTaggart’s for a quarter of a century
Ally Anderson has been an integral part of the McTaggart Group for over 25 years. As a company director, his enduring commitment and knowledge have been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and success. Ally has significantly contributed to the evolution of the business and operational management structures across the Group. With comprehensive oversight of essential support functions such as finance, IT, and HR, he plays a critical role in steering the company towards continued excellence and innovation.

McTaggart Construction recently picked up an Ayrshire Business award for it’s exemplary commitment to employee well- being and has been recognised by Skills Development Scotland as the Large Employer of the Year at the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards, lauding their support in assisting 80% of their young people and apprenticeships, overcoming barriers to employment through their projects.
