The door to Lilyhill Gardens, a new supported living development in Kilmarnock, has officially opened just ahead of tenants moving in.
The development on Witch Road offers accommodation for individuals with a range of support needs, 13 tenants will benefit from bright, modern flats with amenities such as wet floor showers; rise and fall kitchen units in wheelchair access flats; door entry system with fob access; an enclosed, safe, private garden and 24 hour on site support with additional links to the Council’s Risk Management Centre.
The flats are all accessed from an “internal street” which has a single point of public entry and exit for added security. The building has been designed to be energy efficient and the internal street has been formed with full height south facing glazing panels over two storeys. Solar panels have also been incorporated to further reduce energy consumption. All flats have been installed with telecare systems which can be adapted to suit the individual needs of each tenant.
