The £5.8m housing development for military veterans has been officially opened in Cranhill in Glasgow by the Duke of Gloucester.
The development run by the charity Scottish Veteran Residences (SVR), aims to help struggling veterans with the transition to civilian life.
The 51-flatted complex includes 21 affordable rental homes which are exclusively available to ex-armed forces members and their families. The other 30 flats will provide housing where veterans struggling to cope can live independently but with support for a period up to 18 months. The development also contains offices, classrooms, consulting rooms, gym, cafe, and recreation facilities for vulnerable veterans.
